Ring Dryer (Pneumatic Dryer)

A ring dryer, also known as a pneumatic dryer, is industrial equipment that uses heat to remove moisture from wet materials. It's characterized by a "manifold classifier" within the drying system, which distinguishes it from standard flash dryers.
Ring dryers are particularly suitable for heat-sensitive materials and can efficiently handle materials with high moisture content, stickiness, or viscosity. It is a pneumatic dryer of advanced design, in which solid particles are held air borne in controlled circulation, while the drying air is constantly renewed.
The Manifold Classifier
Internal circulation is obtained by means of the manifold, a special centrifugal classifier designed to separate dry and fine particles while holding moist and large particles for longer circulation. This enables exceptionally good control of the final product moisture.
Key Features and Working Principle
Pneumatic Drying: Uses a stream of hot air to carry and dry the material efficiently.
Manifold Classifier: Recirculates heavier particles for further cycle of drying.
Gentle Drying: Short residence time minimizes heat exposure for heat-sensitive products.
Adjustable Parameters: Splitter blades allow control over particle size and moisture content.
Versatile Applications: Used across food, chemical, pharmaceutical, and agricultural sectors.
Industry Applications
Food Industry
Drying starches (potato, corn, tapioca), sugars, soy protein, and other food products.
Chemical & Pharma
Drying chemical compounds and heat-sensitive pharmaceutical excipients or ingredients.
Pharmaceuticals
